Although Brian lived in Badminton for more than 60 years, in his heart he was always a proud Yorkshireman, born in Snaiton in the Vale of Pickering.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Brian Higham yesterday. Brian was stud groom to the 10th and 11th Dukes of Beaufort and oversaw the stable managers and stables during Badminton Horse Trials between the years of 1960 and 2010.
